Usabilla X Red Nose Day 2017

on / by Robyn Collinge

What is Red Nose Day?

Launched by UK charity, Comic Relief, in 1988, Red Nose Day has become something of a British institution. It’s the day, every two years, when people across the country come together and make fools of themselves, all in the name of charity.

The goal is to drive positive change through the power of entertainment and the initiative encourages the general public to participate in fun and easy fundraising activities. Over the last 30 years, these efforts have raised over £1 billion, funding more than 2000 incredible and life-changing projects throughout the UK and Africa that tackle poverty and injustice.

This Red Nose Day, there are five issues that the initiative is specifically focusing on: immunization, mental health, vulnerable young people, domestic violence, and fighting malaria.

Everybody is encouraged to get involved, from school children to high profile celebrities, and the effort is rounded off with a fantastic TV broadcast inspiring the nation to give generously. The mammoth night of live comedy, music, and sketches has seen fundraising totals hit as much as £100,000,000 during it’s Friday night slot. This year promises a highly anticipated reunion of Richard Curtis and his Love Actually cast for a new short, Red Nose Day Actually, set 14-years after the beloved classic.

All in all, it’s a great time for an awesome cause. Red Nose Day is a known name in every UK household (with 91% brand recognition!) and this year we’re beyond honored to be a part of it!

How is Usabilla participating?

Red Nose Day will be the first event Usabilla is sponsoring as part of our recent partnership with Comic Relief.

We’ve donated the use of our solution across the official Red Nose Day fundraising website.

This enables the charity to get feedback on their donation pages, helping them optimize and ensuring everybody can donate and participate as seamlessly as possible.
