Meet the New Guys

A little while back, we announced that were hiring native speaking sales executives for the UK, Germany and France. We also had an open position for a Marketing & UX intern. A few weeks, and many job interviews later, we found just the right guys to help us take Usabilla to the next level.

We are happy to welcome Benjamin, Nicolas, Greg, and Oliver to the Usabilla team! It’s great to have you all on board!

Please meet the new guys:

Benjamin – Business Development Germany

  • “I’m excited about being part of this new adventure with Usabilla in a forward, fast-paced, challenging and high responsibility industry. I like challenges and I look forward to developing a new market with this innovative company.”

Hi, I’m Benjamin! A half German, half Danish guy; Over the years I’ve worked for a Hamburg-based startup in Sales, a German Hotel and Restaurant in Munich, helped build the German customer base in Hamburg for a Danish startup, and for the last year I’ve lived in Amsterdam working in Business Development for Adidas… In short: I like challenges!

I’m excited about being part of this new adventure with Usabilla in a forward, fast-paced, challenging and high responsibility industry. Being responsible for starting and growing the German market, I look forward to rapidly developing the market with this innovative company. My main focus within the German market will be building extensive customer relationships and contributing to the in depth usability know-how that Usabilla can provide. My first step will be localizing some of my existing knowledge into Germany, working on boosting the awareness of Usabilla – potentially not only in Germany, but stretching to Scandinavia getting Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland on board.

After hours, you will probably find me surrounded by water on a Boat, cruising the Amsterdam canals, Hobie Cat sailing and – if possible – Kitesurfing. Otherwise I’ll be visiting family and friends throughout Europe.

Nicolas – Business Development France

  • “What excites me most is the enormous customer potential both in France and throughout Europe, together with the quality of the products being sold and working within such a dynamic, international team.”

I’m Nicolas Fontaine; I grew up in Burgundy, France but moved to Amsterdam in 1996 – living there for 12 years – before moving on to Utrecht where I now live. In this time I’ve worked in IT for more than 10 years as an Account Manager/Business Development Manager, as well as a wide range of industries such as: Recruitment, Publishing and Tourism.

At Usabilla, I will be pioneering the French market; as Usabilla is not well known in France, my biggest challenge will be communicating to French corporations whom I hope to be successful in selling our products to. What excites me most is the enormous customer potential both in France and throughout Europe, together with the quality of the products being sold and working within such a dynamic, international team.

I consider myself an enthusiastic sales and marketing professional, an energetic, social and reliable person! When not at work I’m very active; enjoying Badminton, Volleyball and Rugby, hiking and camping in the wild, as well as riding my bike along Amsterdam’s canals. I listen to a wide range of music, from soul, funk, reggae and afrobeat, to electro ambient and breakbeat. I also love Belgian beers!

Greg – Business Development UK

  • “Usabilla is a young, driven and dynamic company with a clearly defined strategy to expand into different markets and joining such a company in this stage is very exciting.”

My name is Greg Raaijmakers, not many people know this but I was named after a famous movie star of the 50′s Gregory Peck, thanks mom….! I’m an outgoing, adventurous and cheeky chap. I was born in London then moved to the US at a young age and finally found my way to Holland only to move back to London, but have now recently resettled in Holland indefinitely. I’ve undertaken a number of different roles including PR, Marketing, Finance, Lead Generation and Sales and have over seven years experience in these fields.

With this new chapter of my life comes new challenges and opportunities and I look forward to replicating the sales successes I enjoyed in the UK for Usabilla. Usabilla is a young, driven and dynamic company with a clearly defined strategy to expand into different markets and joining such a company in this stage is very exciting.

I’m a fairly active guy so in my downtime I like to play football or tennis, alternatively you can probably find me in my local watering hole with my mates.

Oliver – Marketing & UX

  • “Feeling like the child of the team, I’m fresh from university having only ever worked in a supermarket, and having never lived outside of Kent. This new chapter should be quite an adventure and one I’m extremely excited to be a part of!”

Hello, I’m Oliver McGough, or Ollie! Part English, part Italian – with ginger hair, pale skin and a Scottish name – I’m quite a confused character. Feeling like the child of the team, I’m fresh from university having studied Computer Science at the University of Kent, Canterbury. Having only ever worked in a supermarket, and having never lived outside of Kent, this new chapter should be quite an adventure and one I’m extremely excited to be a part of!

Interning for Usabilla, over the next 6 months I hope to put to use the skills picked up in and around university as well as learning much from the brilliant and ambitious team here. I feel I can offer a fresh perspective on things with my creativity and enthusiasm, helping to improve Usabilla’s user experience and get involved in marketing amongst other things. Learning Dutch will be the biggest challenge though!

Aside from work, I can usually be found wandering the streets of Amsterdam, lost. I play football or rugby (when my shoulder works), ski and snowboard, and love computer gaming with my mates as well as generally having a great time!
