Travis Skindzier is a co-owner of East Coast EFX and is responsible for the website Pineapple.io. Since he took it on as a one-man personal project, he didn’t have time to properly give usability the attention it deserved. However, now that the site is live and running, he would like to improve the general layout of the site in any ways he might have missed. There is a large amount of data that displayed and it’s of utmost importance that Pineapple is easy on people’s eyes and invites them to come back. This requires Travis to connect with the site visitors to find out what they like, or dislike, and what he needs to improve to create a better experience.
The extreme simplicity and point-click nature of Usabilla makes it something that people don’t mind using.
While browsing the Internet for a random article, Travis came across the Usabilla Blog, where he discovered Usabilla Live. He decided to sign up for a free trial and was instantly amazed by its potential.
Travis already tried different feedback tools before trying Usabilla Live. While none of them lived up to his expectations, Usabilla Live has exceeded them in no-time. Traditional feedback tools were rather complex and didn’t offer him any relevant feedback. The extreme simplicity and point-click nature of Usabilla makes it something that people don’t mind using. The results: Travis got lots of valuable and actionable feedback.

For example, multiple people thought that the overall design was too white. So he changed it, taking out some of the white space. Also, Travis added a legend to the pie chart on the profile page, redid a lot of wording on the various parts of the website to make it more captivating, and implemented many new requested features. He even got some comments from colorblind people who helped him to pick better colors for an upcoming release. All these improvements are based on the feedback that people gave using Usabilla Live.
“The great thing about Usabilla Live is that the feedback helps to find design quirks that I didn’t know existed.” Travis was surprised by a lot of the issues that people pointed out. However, after implementing about 80% of the feedback, he is just as surprised about the positive feedback he gets, confirming his revisions.
